Rohit Sharma-Yashasvi Jaiswal Open; Shubman Gill at No. 3 - India's Predicted XI For Bangladesh Test

India vs Bangladesh , 1st Test: KL Rahul , Kuldeep Yadav return as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the much-awaited squad for the Tests versus Bangladesh and it was on predicted lines. As reports suggested, the Indian board revealed the squad just after the first round of Duleep Trophy matches were over. There were no major surprises. As expected, veteran pacer Mohammed Shami misses out. KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav make a comeback to the Test side. 

What would be India's Predicted XI? 

Without a doubt, captain Rohit Sharma opens - but, who will be his partner? Will it be the classy Shubman Gill or left-handed Yashasvi Jaiswal? In all probability, India head coach Gautam Gambhir may go for a right-left combination at the top which would mean - Rohit opens with Jaiswal. If Rohit and Jaiswal are opening, Gill will drop down to No. 3 - a slot he is getting more comfortable in. India's premier batter Virat Kohli walks in at No. 4. The management could look to have Rishabh Pant at No. 5 because he also brings in the left-hander option which could disturb the line and lengths of the bowlers.

No 6 Conundrum 

There could be a toss-up for the No. 6 spot as there are two able candidates for it in Sarfaraz Khan and KL Rahul . This one will be an interesting choice that would have to be made. Gambhir and Rohit would have sleepless nights over this. 

All-rounders Club

No. 7 and 8 would be occupied by the two all-rounders in Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. With Axar at No. 8, India will get depth in their batting and bowling departments.

The Pace Battery

As the Tests would be played in India, only two pacers would be included and if that is the case - it would be Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah . 

Specialist Spinner

Kuldeep Yadav would in all likelihood play as the sole specialist spinner. He has good knowhow of the pitches in India and that would help.
