IPL 2025: Contrary to whatever their reputation is, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have made a thumping start to their IPL 2025 campaign. Royal Challengers Bengaluru shocked everybody last year as they won seven consecutive games to qualify for the playoffs. They were later knocked out by the inaugural champions, Rajasthan Royals .

RCB, who are off to a flyer, have now set their eyes on the 'Southern Derby', the much-talked-about match against MS Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad's Chennai Super Kings . The match will be played on March 28, 2025, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. RCB had knocked Chennai out of the Indian Premier League last year, and this, in many ways, is being perceived as the revenge game for the 'dad's army'.

All Eyes On Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has sent out a stern message to all the other franchises that he is in some impeccable form, and this makes RCB an even more dangerous side. Kohli will be wary of the spin-friendly conditions at Chepauk, but the manner in which he dealt with the likes of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy in the RCB vs KKR game speaks volumes about the kind of mindset he is currently in.
