'Nothing More Proud Than This': Virat Kohli's Childhood Coach Opens Up On Batter's Heartwarming Gesture Following IND vs PAK

Virat Kohli roared back into form with a massive century during India's Champions Trophy match against Pakistan as India picked up a six wicket win.

India and Pakistan's ICC Champions Trophy match was one of the most looked forward game following all of the controversy that has gripped the tournament even before it's start. Host nation Pakistan, travelled to Dubai for their match against India after India refused to travel to Pakistan. During the match, Pakistan batted first and set a target of 242 for India to chase down in fifty overs. As India got down to batting, Virat Kohli roared back into form as he scored 100 off 111 balls to help India win the match by six wickets. 

Virat Kohli's Heartwarming Gesture For Childhood Coach 

Following India's thumping win over Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy, Virat Kohli's childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma opened up on the star Indian batter's heartwarming gesture towards him. Rajkumar Sharma revealed that Virat Kohli had arranged the tickets for his childhood coach so that he could come and watch the match. Sharma also revealed that he was staying at the same hotel as Virat Kohli.

“He is the one who gave me the tickets. I am staying in his hotel. He knows that I am sitting there. You feel proud of such a child. If you are his coach, then there is nothing more proud than this.”

Rajkumar Sharma also further talked about Virat Kohli's recent struggles with his form and how the batter bounced back on the greatest stage.

During his interview with timesofindia.com, Rajkumar Sharma further opened up on Virat Kohli's recent struggles with form. He stated that Virat Kohli is also a human and despite his recent struggles, remains a class player.

"People need to realize that he is also a human being. Sometimes his form fluctuates; sometimes he gets a good ball. But class is permanent and he remains a class player.

“He was always aggressive on the ground and humble off it. People misunderstood him for his tattoos and style, but he has always been a respectful and humble guy. After marriage and having kids, he has mellowed a bit and become more religious, which is a great thing."

Virat Kohli will return to action for India against New Zealand as it remains to be seen whether he can continue his form with the bat.
