The first Test match between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru saw the Men in Blue struggle on its own turf as they had to settle on a historic low against New Zealand. The Indian Cricket Team are now trying to fight back as they bat against the Kiwis. India struggled heavily while bowling, but they managed to take key wickets to keep its hopes alive during the play. The Men in Blue lost one of its key players on day 2 when Rishabh Pant went down with a knee injury. But a new update has surfaced over the wicketkeeper-batter, and he looks to be up and running after the initial setback.

Major Rishabh Pant Update Surfaces During Tea Break At IND vs NZ Bengaluru Test

During the India-New Zealand Day 2 play at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Rishabh Pant had to walk out of the pitch after suffering a hit to his knee from Ravindra Jadeja's delivery. Young wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel had come in to replace him in the play. But during the tea break on Day 3, the broadcast showcased Rishabh Pant taking up some light batting practice. He wore a pad on his left knee and faced a couple of throw downs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Pant received huge cheers from the crowd as he batted during the break, and it is a huge plus for the hosts as they won't be losing out on one of its top players in a time of need.

In another update, the cameras panned towards the Team India dressing room, where Rishabh Pant could be seen in whites, all padded up and ready to go. He could be coming down to bat after the fall of a wicket.

It was also informed that Rishabh Pant will not engage in any wicket-keeping duties during day 3 of the IND vs NZ Bengaluru Test, and the BCCI medical staff will keep a check on him. Rohit Sharma also confirmed in the post-play press conference that the ball hit his kneecap and he was taken out of the match as a precautionary measure. But India's Spiderman looks ready to go.
