Parthiv Patel clears the air on 'Test Match Wicketkeeper' remark
After Parthiv Patel's tweet on Test wicketkeeper stirred the pot, the former keeper-batter for Team India came up with an explanation for the same. Taking to X (Formerly Twitter), Patel said that his tweet on wicketkeepers was not aimed towards KL Rahul.
“My point wasn’t about KL Rahul. He could well be an option to make it in the line up as a batter. There was never a doubt about his batting ability.
But what message does this send to the keepers plying their trade in the FC circuit, when you devalue the skill to fit in an extra batter? Our Ranji keepers have more incentive to improve their batting than their keeping, if they follow the trend that leads you to the national side,” Parthiv Patel said.
KL Rahul gave a perfect response to Parthiv Patel's criticism
KL Rahul showed up as the saviour when Team India needed the most. After Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's dismissal, KL was the one to show up and stand out against the mighty South African bowling line-up.
Rahul scored a century after hitting a six off Gerard Coetzee's ball and made history at the SuperSport Park in Centurion, South Africa. It was a perfect retort to Patel's criticism.
