Erling Haaland Gets Off Scot-Free After Hitting The Ball In The Back Of Gabriel Magalhaes' Head
Erling Haaland was not punished for hitting Gabriel Magalhaes in the back of his head with a ball during the Manchester City vs Arsenal match.
The Premier League match between Manchester City and Arsenal got heated as both teams tried to win the title. Manchester City currently sits in the first position on the Premier League table with 13 points after drawing their match against Arsenal. As for Arsenal, they are in the chase to catch up to Man City as they have 11 points and would be looking to pounce on any opportunity to get to the top of the table. During the heated encounter between the two teams, things got verbal and physical during and towards the end of the match.
Haaland Hits Magalhaes With A Ball
One thing that caught the eye of several fans was the moment when Erling Haaland hit the back of Arsenal player Gabriel Magalhaes' head with a ball. This incident led to a huge brawl between the Arsenal and Manchester City players. The occurrence took place at the end of the match. John Stones scored a late equalizer for Man City and during the celebrations from the blue team, Magalhaes had put his shirt over his head in disappointment.
Erling Haaland decided to hit the ball in the back of the covered head of Gabriel Magalhaes which led to a massive brawl between the players of the two teams. The brawl involved some pushing and verbal back and forth between the players.
The brawl soon went silent and both teams walked away without a point.
Haaland Walks Off Scot-Free After Incident
Erling Haaland was not punished for hitting Gabriel Magalhaes with a ball. The incident was reviewed by the VAR and they deemed no action was necessary against the Man City striker. This angered a lot of fans who voiced their opinions saying that if it was a player from any other club, the player would have been hit with a fine.
There were also fans calling the Premier League corrupt due to Haaland not being penalized.
