It has been reported that his 25 year old brother, Andre Silva who was with him in the car has passed away as well. Diogo Jota had an illustrious footballing in which he played for Pacos de Ferreira, Atletico Madrid, FC Porto, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the Liverpool Football Club. Diogo established himself as a prolific goal scorer at Wolverhampton Wanderers where he played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League, and in their first couple of years in the division. In his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers he scored 44 goals and assisted 19, in 131 appearances, earning himself a 41 million (GBP) move to Liverpool. In his time at Liverpool Jota had become one of the best forwards in the Premier League. In his teenage years he played for FC Porto's academy as well as Padroense and Pacos de Ferreira. Silva joined Penafiel in 2020 and established himself as a regular first team player. Before his death he had just finished a season in the second division with the club, in which they placed 11th.
