Israel Army release footage of strikes on Gaza

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released footage of strikes in Gaza over the last 24 hours, indicating that they have targeted over 250 Hamas-related sites, including infrastructure, command centers, tunnels, and rocket launchers. This followed a brief ground incursion into northern Gaza, with Israeli forces striking militant targets in preparation for a possible ground invasion after two weeks of intense airstrikes.

The death toll in Gaza has risen significantly during this conflict, with more than 6,500 Palestinians killed and over 16,000 wounded, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry. On the Israeli side, over 1,400 people have been reported killed, primarily civilians, due to events that started with an initial Hamas attack on October 7. Israel also noted 222 remaining hostages in Gaza, including foreigners captured by Hamas.

It's important to note that the reported death tolls can be disputed, and the Health Ministry in Gaza does not distinguish between civilians and combatants. This conflict marks the deadliest of the five Gaza wars for both sides, with devastating humanitarian consequences.
