A lawful drive to evict illegal settlers at Kosutoli in Sonapur of Assam 's Kamrup is now being politicised. Illegal settlers who came to the area after 1950 when the land was declared a tribal area are being evicted. But even as the illegal settlers admit to encroachment, the AIUDF has politicised the drive initiated on the HC order. The Tribal Sangh meanwhile says it stand with the government of Assam.
