Pro-Life Activist Opposes Legalisation Of Same-Sex
As the Supreme Court is set to deliver its judgment on various petitions pertaining to marriage equality rights for the LGBTQIA+ community on October 17, Pro-Life Activist Allena Joy on October 17 said that the ruling should not be taken in favour of same-sex marriages. Acco0rding to her legalisation of such marriages can have a deep impact on children's mental health. “Thinking from the perspective of a person as a part of society, I feel that a ruling should not be taken in same-sex marriage. Because it starts with the fundamental unit of the society..........I wish and pray that the Supreme Court is not in favour of legalising same-sex marriage,” said Allena Joy. The Supreme Court in a 3:2 decision refused to legalise same sex marriage in India and the Parliament must decide on the issue.
