The Indian Women's Table Tennis Team has made history at the Asian Table Tennis Championships. The India Women's team have defeated Paris Olympics Bronze medalist South Korea in the semifinals, assuring themselves of a medal. The Indian women's side defeated the Korean Women with a 3-2 lead. It is nothing less than historic, as India are assured of their first-ever medal in the event. Ayhika Mukherjee was starred for Indian women's team as she won both her matches against South Korean opponents. Manika Batra won one match and lost the another while Sreeja Akula faced defeat in her sole match.
