Viral News: The frenzy over Coldplay tickets on Sunday left fans dismayed. As frustration spread across the internet, many took to social media to question the craze surrounding the purchase of tickets.

Popular author Chetan Bhagat and BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover also joined the debate on fans paying lakhs for concert tickets.

The Two States author took to his X account to label the ticket craze as “YOLO logic.”

“On one hand, we get figures of Indian salary percentiles, and on the other, there’s near mania for concert tickets. Who’s paying so much and buying all these tickets? What percentage of your monthly salary are people spending on these tickets? Some YOLO logic here?” he wrote.

Responding to Bhagat's opinion, the Doglapan author said, "It’s a large country—and there is a lot of disparity on either end—why is filling an 80k stadium surprising anyone? 800k students go overseas every year, spending $50K on average. Also, now that most people who can afford it have phones, things will fill up instantly as well."

Internet's Reactions:

"I wouldn't spend even 1% of my salary on any concert tickets. In the age of OTT, who goes for a live concert? All these YOLO frenzy guys will mostly start recording the performance on their phones, right?" a user remarked.

Another added, "Many might prioritize experiences over savings, especially in India where live events are highly valued."

Reacting to Ashneer Grover, one user wrote, "There are two Indias: one queues up for Coldplay tickets, while the other queues up for 5kg of ration."

"Ticket price is only 2,500...lots of people can afford this."

Finally, another user commented, "People have the right to spend their money on experiences that bring them joy. Attending a concert is a personal choice, much like any other form of entertainment, whether it’s reading books or watching movies."
