COVID-19 Outbreak at DNC: Several Harris's Supporters Tests Positive, Netizens React

Washington: Multiple supporters of Presidential candidate Kamala Harris who attended last week's Democratic National Convention (DNC) have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report in the NY Post.

There are concerns that the DNC might have been heavily spread at the event, raising fears among the officials, as per the US-based report.

Several DNC attendees took to social media to share their experiences and symptoms, suspecting that the might have been infected.

Christopher Wiggins, a reporter at The Advocate, an LGBTQ magazine posted, "When you spend five days in Chicago for the DNC and come home with COVID-19. Womp womp."

A human rights lawyer on X wrote, "Indeed. I arrived at the DNC healthy and hopeful and left very sick and disillusioned."

Several users responded to the post sarcasticallỵ commenting about the surprise guest who turned up at the venue.

"A friend who was at the DNC posted a positive test and said the surprise guest was, in fact, Covid," a user said.

"I heard most of the MD delegation is in the same boat. I’m sorry!" another commented. 

Meanwhile, a third user said, “The DNC convention is a superspreader and happening during the peak of one of the largest summer COVID surges of the pandemic.”
