'Didn't It Spin And Hit?': King Charles III Reacts To Md. Siraj's Unfortunate Dismissal At Lord's While Meeting The Indian Cricket Team | WATCH
The manner of Mohammed Siraj's dismissal in the Lord's Test will be talked about for a very long time. With 22 runs required to win the third Test, Siraj played a perfect defence, but unfortunately the ball spun backwards and went on to hit the stumps
IND vs ENG: Members of the Indian Test team sustained a massive heartbreak as Mohammed Siraj ended up dragging the last ball of the Lord's Test match onto his stumps. With 22 runs required to win the third Test and Jadeja well set on the other end, India had a very strong chance of sealing the third Test match, but fate had different ideas. England are currently 2-1 up in the series, and the next game will be a do-or-die affair for the members of the Indian Test team.
Just like Headingley, India dominated most of the sessions of the Lord's Test, but they couldn't hold on to their nerves on the final day of the Test match. England had asked India to chase down 193 runs in the final innings of the third Test match, but the visitors fell short by 22 runs. The next Test match of the series will now be played at the Old Trafford in Manchester from July 23, 2025.
King Charles III Reacts To Mohammed Siraj's Dismissal
Just a day after the heartbreaking loss at the 'Home of Cricket', the members of the men's and women's Indian cricket team met King Charles III at the St. James Palace in London. King Charles was introduced to the Indian captain Shubman Gill and asked him about India's schedule for the next few days.
The monarch then went on to speak about Mohammed Siraj's dismissal that might possibly go down as one of the most unfortunate incidents to take place in the history of the game. 'I saw it on the news, the ball, didn't it spin and then went and hit the wickets?' asked King Charles.

The India men's and women's team both are stationed in England currently. The men's team led by Shubman Gill is playing a five-match Test series against Ben Stokes' men, whereas the women's team led by Harmanpreet Kaur is stationed in the United Kingdom to play five T20Is and three ODIs.
Just like the Indian men's team, the women's team featuring likes of Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur met the monarch at the St. James Palace in London.
