IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals are the inaugural Indian Premier League winners and hence the west-Indian franchise has a lot of significance in the cash-rich league. But after all their heroics in the inaugural season, the Royals tapered off and never managed to win another IPL crown despite having big names in their sides in the past.

This year, in 2025, the Royals would have been hoping for a fresh start with a new-look team in place, but all their hopes have taken a beating even before the season starts. Head coach Rahul Dravid has picked up a leg injury. The incident took place during RR's preparatory camp in Jaipur on Tuesday. The franchise took to social media and provided the update themselves.

RAHUL DRAVID INJURED

In a picture shared by RR on their social media handle, Dravid can be seen seated wearing a cast on his left leg. There is no confirmation on it, but does not look like Dravid would miss any match as RR coach.

Dravid is returning to the franchise after a decade so it would be an emotional moment for the legend as well. Dravid was an integral member of the RR side which won the integral IPL season in 2008.

Back then, late Shane Warne was the captain of the side.

DRAVID-SAMSON COMBO

In 2025, Sanju Samson is in charge of leading the side. He would be happy he would have Dravid by his side to help him.

For the unversed, Dravid was the RR captain when Samson made his IPL debut in 2013 and the team mentor the following two seasons. Rajasthan would dearly hope the Dravid-Samson gets them the title.
