Champions Trophy 2025: Virat Kohli Joins Sachin Tendulkar And MS Dhoni In Exclusive List, Registers Huge Milestone
Champions Trophy 2025: Virat Kohli has registered a huge milestone against Australia in the Champions Trophy 2025.
A place in the Champions Trophy final will be at stake as India face Australia in a crucial match in Dubai. Both teams share a very intense rivalry on the ground and an exciting clash is on the cards it seems.
India named an unchanged XI for this game as Varun Chakravarthy maintained his place in the place of Harshit Rana who also had to sit out the match against New Zealand.
Virat Kohli has now become the third Indian player after MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar to feature in 50 ODI matches against Australia. Indian captain Rohit Sharma stands at 46 ODI games while Ravindra Jadeja has featured in 45 matches so far.

Coming to the match, Australia won the toss and Steve Smith decided to bat first on a freshly laid pitch in Dubai. The Aussies included Tanveer Sangha and Cooper Connolly who replaced Matthew Short and Spencer Johnson respectively. Australia defeated England in the group stage and their remaining two matches were washed out due to rain.
India maintained a perfect record in Group A having recorded wins against Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand. Rohit Sharma will seek another ICC trophy in his cabinet and the Men In Blue are just two steps away from lifting their 3rd Champions Trophy.
Virat showed his flashes of brilliance with a century against Pakistan and the 36-year-old will have to be at his best if India are to get past all the remaining hurdles in Dubai.
