ICC Rankings: Rohit Sharma-led Team India has been in red-hot form in the Champions Trophy so far. The Indian Team is still unbeaten in the tournament and they look like clear favourites to win it for the second time since 2013. India have delivered top-notch performances match after match and they are just one step away from clinching the coveted silverware. India defeated Australia in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy by 4 wickets and marched towards the summit clash.
India have been exceptional in all the three departments of the game, but it is their batting which has grabbed all the headlines. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer have batted like a single unit and it has helped the 'Men in Blue' in dominating their oppositions. The biggest superstars of Indian cricket are currently locked in a three-way battle as far as the ICC Rankings are concerned. Shubman Gill recenty dethroned Pakistan's Babar Azam to become the number one ODI batter, but he is now facing stiff competition from Virat Kohli. Shubman Gill too has had a decent Champions Trophy campaign so far. The Indian opener has scored 157 runs from four matches at an average of 52.33.
After his stellar outing against Australia, former India skipper Virat Kohli raced past Rohit Sharma to become the number four-ranked ODI batter. Rohit Sharma as of now continues to be on the fifth spot. Shubman Gill, who is still at the top spot with 791 rating points is ahead of Virat Kohli who currently has 747 rating points. Shreyas Iyer is on the eighth spot with 702 rating points. India's top four in the top 10 ICC ODI rankings is certainly a great place for India to be in as a team.

It has been almost twelve years that India clinched the Champions Trophy. They last won the coveted silverware back in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. India have already qualified for the finals and they have a lot of time to strategize for the summit clash. Rohit is also in with a chance to become the second Indian captain to win the ICC Champions trophy. The summit clash of the ICC Champions Trophy will be played in Dubai.
