IND vs NZ Head-to-Head Records
This is the first time that the 'Men in Blue' and the 'Blackcaps' are coming face-to-face with each other since their 2013 ODI World Cup clash. The Kiwis will be keen to defeat the Indian team but that will have serious implications on the 'men in blue' as this game is nothing but a dead rubber with nothing on the line.
Both the teams have played a total of 118 ODI games against each other and Indian hold the upper hand as of now. The 'Men in Blue' have won sixty games, whereas the 'Blackcaps' have won only 30 games so far. One ODI featuring both these teams ended in a draw and the other seven produced no results. Both these teams played five ODIs in the UAE between 1986 and 1998 and India have managed to four out of them, whereas New Zealand have won only one.
As far as the last five ODIs go, India are yet to concede a game and this is a testament of their dominance on the Kiwi side. New Zealand have failed to defeat India in the fifty over format since 2022. This also will be the first time when both India and New Zealand come face-to-face in an ODI that is to be played in the Dubai International Stadium.
All Eyes On India's Playing XI
India are grappling with a few injury issues. Mohammed Shami and Rohit Sharma went off the field for a few brief moments during the India vs Pakistan game. Considering the fact that the India vs New Zealand game is a dead rubber, the team management might consider to rest few of their key players.
