Is Rohit Sharma Carrying an INJURY After India-Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 Game in Dubai?
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: India captain Rohit Sharma has been receiving praises from all quarters after the side won both their games in Dubai.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Team India have been having a dream run in Dubai and captain Rohit Sharma is receiving all the praise. From getting the side of to good starts to getting the field setting right, Rohit has hardly put a foot wrong in the ongoing edition of the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. With India having qualified for the semi-final, is there a possibility Team India make changes to their winning combination?
While that is unlikely to happen, there are reports that claim that Rohit looked uneasy during Team India's training session on Wednesday. He did not feature in any high-intensity activity initially during the session. Also, Rohit reportedly did not face any throwdowns during the session. Now, that brings us to our question - is Rohit carrying an injury after the Pakistan game?
Is Rohit Carrying a Hamstring Injury?
During the Pakistan game, it was visible that Rohit was struggling with his hamstring. Is it the hamstring? There is nothing official on this from the team management as yet. This is cause for concern as Rohit was not only leading the side phenomenally well, but he was also getting the side off to good starts which is very important in Dubai. Rohit was reportedly jogging mildly with strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Rohit was there throughout India's session and was seen speaking at length with India head coach Gautam Gambhir . Rohit did not face any deliveries during the session.
With Team India having qualified for the semi-final, Rohit would be an important player in that game with the experience he brings to the table. And that is what makes us believe that the team management may contemplate resting the Indian captain for the dead-rubber against New Zealand.
