'Just Wait And Watch What Happens Next': Sourav Ganguly Quashes KKR vs LSG Rescheduling Rumours In IPL 2025
The IPL 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders And Lucknow Super Giants will reportedly be shifted to Guwahati due to Ram Navami.
Former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has quashed all the speculations regarding rescheduling the Kolkata Knight Riders home match against Lucknow Super Giants. The match is clashing with the Ram Navami and as per several reports, the game will now be shifted to Guwahati.
Sourav Ganguly Dismisses KKR vs LSG Speculations
Last season also the match between KKR and Rajasthan Royals had to be rescheduled but Ganguly has dismissed all the speculations. As quoted by the PTI he said, “Just wait and watch what happens next. Have you seen Kolkata Police’s post yesterday? I don’t think the match will be shifted. And in the IPL, I'm supporting Delhi Capitals.”

Earlier the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal also confirmed that they requested BCCI to reschedule the match but is yet to receive the green signal. The Kolkata Police too recently took to social media and told people not to respond to the rumours. The X post stated, “Certain misleading posts are being circulated regarding the proposed rescheduling of the IPL match on April 6. Kolkata Police remains firmly committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. All deployment decisions are made with public safety as the top priority. Kolkata Police -- With you, Always."
BCCI Vice-president Breaks Silence On KKR vs LSG Rescheduling
BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla also insisted no decision has been made and the BCCI is in constant conversation with the Kolkata Police. As quoted by ANI he said, “We are in conversation with the Kolkata Police. So far, nothing has been decided. Kolkata Police is cooperating. We will find a way out. No decision has been made yet. The IPL management is in conversation with the Kolkata Police. CAB and IPL management are trying to find a solution.”
KKR are all set to take on the Lucknow Super Giants on April 6. Ajinkya Rahane's men lost to RCB in the IPL 2025 opener and will now travel to Guwahati to face Rajasthan Royals in their next game.
