Virat Kohli, the 'Chasemaster' has completed sixteen years in international cricket. The former India has captain has achieved, everything in white ball cricket. Kohli has won the U-19 World Cup (2008), ODI World Cup (2011), Champions Trophy (2013) and the T20 World Cup (2024). Virat Kohli recently retired from the T20Is but will continue to play for India in the Tests and ODIs. Kohli has set high standards in the cricketing world and has inspired the future generations with his fitness standards.

Kohli Picks Up His Favourite IPL Opponent

Virat Kohli is the only active IPL player who has played for only one franchise since the initiation of the league. Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are synonymous with each other which defines Kohli's association with the franchise. Kohli came very close to winning the IPL trophy thrice (2009, 2011 and 2016) but missed out on the coveted silverware by a whisker. RCB is a side which is extremely unpredictable and one doesn't know what they are going to do on any given day.

RCB has always enjoyed a fiery rivalry with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Though KKR have got the better of the Bengaluru franchise most of the times, the clash always turns out to be high-octane and entertaining. KKR's ex-skipper Gautam Gambhir was once asked about who he loves defeating the most. The present India head Coach without any doubts, picked RCB and said that they win nothing but still pretend they are the best.

Upon completing his 16 glorious years in international cricket, Kohli was asked about his favourite IPL opponent. Without any doubt in his mind too, Kohli said Kolkata Knight Riders.

Virat Kohli And His Undying Legacy

It just seems like yesterday when a young 18-year-old kid named Virat Kohli walked out on the field against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka while making his Team India debut. By this time, he was already an U-19 World Cup winning captain. As years went by, Kohli kept on taking up his game few notches higher. Be it Hobart, Wankhede, Oval or the Chinnaswamy, Kohli dominated on every surface and he is expected to continue in the same fashion.
