Suryakumar Yadav is the man of the moment after his sensational catch of David Miller in the final over of India vs South Africa in T20 World Cup 2024 final ended India's 13 year wait to win a World title. 

As India's World Cup dream was finally realised once again, Suryakumar Yadav sent the internet into Meltdown after he celebrated the T20 World Cup triumph for Team India with a Lionel Messi-style pose.

Suryakumar Yadav was given a lot of criticism and abuse after his failure to perform in India's heartbreaking ODI World Cup final loss to Australia on November 19th, 2023. 

But now he has become India's cherry as his catch was the decisive moment that brought World Cup glory back to the subcontinent. 

And as it turned out, Suryakumar Yadav took to Instagram to recreate the Iconic Lionel Messi pose with the World Cup trophy. 

As can be seen in the post by Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty, they can be seen sleeping with the World Cup trophy alongside them in bed. 

This celebration was made instantly iconic but Lionel Messi after he led Argentina to World Cup glory in FIFA World Cup 2022.

The moment India won the World Cup 

Just like it took a special catch from Sreesanth to win India the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, it once again came down to a special catch from Suryakumar Yadav to hand India its second T20 World Cup title and fourth World Cup.

If not for Suryakumar Yadav's presence of mind and excellent skill to catch and avoid the boundary and keep the ball in play who knows the World Cup trophy might have alluded Team India once again.
