Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is one of the highest-paid actors in the Hindi film industry. He is widely known for his action sequences. From acing comedic roles to intense ones, he has done it all. Akshay’s Hera Pheri co-star Paresh Rawal in an interview defended the actor doing 5 films a year and also supported his work ethic.

While speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Paresh Rawal said, “I know I can’t do what he does. Be it the action or being a really good-looking guy. He is not just extremely hardworking but very honest, too. There is no hidden agenda when he converses with you. The integrity is top-notch, and he is a proper family man. It feels nice to talk to him, and be around him. Honestly, what is your problem if he does so many films? People go to him to make the films, right? As a producer, I would sign an actor only if I can account for the money I am investing."

Paresh further stated that, “Wo kaam karna pasand karta hai. Wo smuggling toh nahi karta hai, daaru supply toh nahi karta hai. Drugs to nahi karta hai, jua to nahi karta hai. Wo kaam karta hai to kitna employment generate hota hai, wo bhi dekhiye aap”.

What’s next for Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar?
The comical duo Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will next be seen in Priyadarshan’s film Bhooth Bangla. The horror comedy will star Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Govardhan Asrani among others. It is scheduled to released in cinemas on April 2, 2026.

Their last outing together was OMG in 2012 which was not in their usual comedy genre. Their hits date back to the 90s like Kayda Kanoon (1993), Mohra (1994) Angaaray (1998) and Insaaf: The Final Justice (1997) to 2000s comedies like Hera Pheri (2000), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Welcome, Garam Masala (2005) and Bhagam Bhag (2006).
