Stree 2's Abhishek Banerjee On Comparisons Of Film's Poster To Stranger Things: Hamara Toh Kaam...

Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee are basking in the success of his recently released movie Stree 2. Owing to the success, there have been discussions about credit with netizens pointing out Aparshakti's particular scene where he sings Soft Chitti and the similarities between the posters of Stree 2 and Stranger Things Season 2.

Now, Abhishek has reacted to the uncanny resemblance between Stree 2 and Stranger Things 2 posters and said his job is to be on a poster.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Abhishek said he has no idea how the makers plan the marketing strategies and design the posters. He is an actor, and his job is to feature on the poster rather than design it.

"Pata nahin, I have no idea. Ye marketing aur poster woh log kis tarah se sochte hain humein kya pata. Hum toh actor hain. Hamara toh kaam hai poster pe aana, banana thodi hai."

Meanwhile, Stree 2 makers, including director Amar Kaushik, are yet to comment on the same.

How netizens react to Stree 2 posters?

Soon after the release of the posters, netizens were quick to notice the similarities between Stree 2 and Stranger Things Season 2 posters and claimed that makers had copied the design. A user wrote, "The Stree 2 poster seems to have borrowed from Stranger Things 2". Another wrote, "Copy or coincidence? It looks more like a copy." Another wrote, "Same same...but different."

Stree 2 neck-to-neck with Bollywood biggies

Stree 2 collection in 12 days is on par with all-time blockbuster hits like Pathaan and Jawan. Like Stree 2, the other two movies also crossed the ₹400 crore mark in India in 11 days. On some days, the horror-comedy film's collections are also better than the other two movies and it is estimated that Stree 2 will surpass ₹500 crore mark in nett collections in India as well. On the second Tuesday, the movie witnessed a downfall of 37.84 per cent from Monday and minted ₹11.5 crore. Adding the 13th-day collection to the total, the movie's business stands at ₹414.55 crore, according to Sacnilk.
