Joker: Folie à Deux is one of the most-anticipated films that is lined up for release. The film has already hit the screens in India on October 2 and will release globally on October 4. Post the release, the film has divided the audience and netizens have reacted to the film.

As the film released in India and some other parts of the world, social media users took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their candid feelings about the film on social media platforms incuding X and Reddit. One user wrote, “Many years ago I did a version of this as a parody, never thought I'd see a Joker musical”. Another user wrote, “Absolutely. When was watching it I told my wife it all seemed like I’d seen it before. Then it hit me and I started looking up the comparisons and it feels like plagiarism. Hell it even has the same actor in an inverse role”. “Regardless of the films quality I always find it really funny how so many people complain about “filmmakers don’t take risks anymore”, and then this is the kind of discourse that happens almost every time a film takes a big risk”, wrote the third user.

According to early estimates of Sacnilk, Joker: Folie a Deux has earned around ₹5.00 Cr India net on its first day for all languages. The film had an overall 24.14% English Occupancy on Wednesday, October 02 in India. The film has recorded highest occupancy in Chennai(57.33%),  Bengaluru(34.67%) and Kolkata (23%) among others.
