Rajinikanth Shares 1st Statement After Hospital Discharge; Thanks PM Modi, Fans For Supporting

Rajinikanth thanked PM Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan and his fans for supporting him during his brief hospitalisation in Chennai.

Rajinikanth has released his first statement after getting discharged from hospital on Thursday. In his statement, he thanked the political leaders, fans and well-wishers for supporting him during his brief hospitalisation. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being concerned about his health and for personally checking on him. The superstar was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Tuesday where he underwent a non-surgical procedure for an issue in the main blood vessel of his heart.

Taking to his X handle, Rajinikanth dropped a statement written in Tamil that we loosely translated to, "To all my political friends who wished me a speedy recovery, to all my film fraternity friends, to all my well-wishers, the press and media, my sincere thanks to you all. And to the fans who have made me, who keep me alive and love me immeasurably, praying for my well-being. I express my sincere gratitude to you all.”

He also shared separate posts thanking PM Modi, Amitabh Bachchan , Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu , and Governor of TN Ravi, for inquiring about his health while he was admitted to hospital.

"Thank you @SrBachchan ji for your love and showing such warm concern towards me …truly touched," he wrote to Amitabh Bachchan.

Thanking PM Modi he wrote, "My dear honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji … my heartfelt thanks to you for your care and concern regarding my health and checking on me personally."

The 73-year-old was discharged at 11 pm today, October 4. After the procedure, the actor was kept under observation for two days.

Doctors have advised Rajinikanth to rest for two weeks

As per reports, Rajinikanth has been advised to take strict rest for two weeks. The actor is gearing up for the release of his Vettaiyan which will release on October 10. Following the advised rest, he will resume work on Lokesh Kanagraj's directorial Coolie.
