The IPL 2020 auction is set to take place in Kolkata on December 19. Before the auction for the 2019 season last year, almost every team released their Australian talents owing to their impending national commitments during the season. However, there should be no such issue this season, making them available to be selected. Let us take a look at three such players who could earn a great sum at the upcoming auctions.

Aaron Finch

Australia's ODI and T20I captain, Aaron Finch, is a valuable asset to any team that he plays in. Finch is an explosive opener with a knack for leadership. He led the Melbourne Renegades to their maiden Big Bash League trophy in the 2018-19 season. Finch was a part of the Kings XI Punjab outfit in 2018. He did not perform at his peak but showed signs of brilliance in some innings like the one against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium where he stitched a 100-run partnership with KL Rahul.

Pat Cummins

Lethal Australian pacer Pat Cummins could also make sides go gaga at the auction. The Australian vice-captain has not shown his full potential in the IPL yet but had a very decent 2017 season for the Delhi Capitals where he picked up 15 wickets in 12 matches. He was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 mega-auction for a whopping sum of Rs. 5.4 crores but could not play a single match owing to a back injury. He had also been a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders outfit when they won the IPL 2014 title.

Mitchell Starc

The dangerous Australian pacer has not been able to show his best in the IPL owing to injuries and national commitments but that does not take away the immense talent he possesses. Starc has been a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore outfit in the 2014 and 2015 seasons and was picked in the Kolkata Knight Riders squad in 2018. He has only played for RCB so far, managing 34 wickets in 27 matches with best figures of 4/15.
