Ruturaj Gaikwad's Chennai Super Kings is all set to lock horns with Hardik Pandya's Mumbai Indians in the eighteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The MI vs CSK game will be played in the iconic MA Chindambaram Stadium on March 23, 2025. Much ahead of the marquee Indian Premier League clash, Grandmaster D. Gukesh visited Chepauk and met former India International Ravichandran Ashwin. Chennai Super Kings' newest recruit, Ravinchandran Ashwin is considered as one of the brightest minds of Indian cricket.
Ravichandran Ashwin is returning to play for the Chennai Super Kings after 9 long years. Ashwin last played for CSK in 2015. Ashwin presented Gukesh with an official CSK match jersey and also played a game of chess with him. Gukesh recently became the youngest world chess champion.

Chennai Super Kings Documents The Meeting Of Two Wizards
Gukesh and Ravichandran Ashwin, both of them are two greats in their own respective sport. CSK's official social media handle uploaded the video with the caption 'World champion of chess! A Chennai paiyan at heart! A sparring with Ashwin! Introducing Chennai Superstars! Get set to meet Gukesh and his love for the city!'. Gukesh later signed the chessboard for Ravichandran Ashwin.

Gukesh Achieves Career Milestones in 2024
D. Gukesh had a spectacular 2024 as far as his career is concerned. The Indian Grandmaster defeated China's Ding Liren in the summit clash of the World Chess Championship and became the youngest player in the world to achieve this feat. Gukesh is only the second Indian after the legendary Viswanathan Anand to achieve this feat.
