Bangladesh were miles ahead of India before the third session of the Day 1 of IND vs BAN 1st Test. At one point in time, India were reeling on 34/3 with the big guns such as Virat Kohli , Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill back in the dressing room. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant tried to stage a rescue act, but they also couldn't bat for much longer.

Much to Bangladesh 's misfortune, just when they had a feeling that they were ahead in the game, the duo of   Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja effectuated a twist in the tale. India were struggling to cross the 200 run mark at one point in time, but Ashwin and Jadeja defied all odds and staged a fightback that will be remembered for ages to come.
