Ind vs Ban: Sarfaraz Khan to Join Rohit Sharma-Led Team India in Chennai, Anyone INJURED?

Despite being picked in the squad for the first Test vs Bangladesh, Sarfaraz Khan was asked to continue playing the Duleep Trophy.

India vs Bangladesh : Despite being picked in the squad for the first Test vs Bangladesh , Sarfaraz Khan was asked to continue playing the Duleep Trophy. But reports now claim that he has been asked to join Team India in Chennai. Is there an injury concern the management is hiding? While we cannot confirm if there is an injury concern or not, this move surely hints towards that. Once understands that Sarfaraz may be in a direct toss-up with KL Rahul for a spot. Does that mean Rahul has picked up an injury ahead of the Test versus Bangladesh in Chennai?

The Indian team reached Chennai on Saturday and resumed their training ahead of the Test.

What Lies Ahead For Team India?

Team India will begin their red-ball schedule and keep their case for the World Test Championship Final. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named in the official squad first Test match against Bangladesh , which will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The first test match will begin on September 19, 2024, at 09:30 AM IST. After the two-Test series against Bangladesh , India will host New Zealand for a three-match Test series before travelling to Australia later in the year for the much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy.
