Video: Moment Akash Deep bamboozled Bangladesh with two back-to-back wickets in IND vs BAN 1st Test

After India's impressive first innings total of 376, Bangladesh 's hopes of a strong response were quickly dampened by the Indian pace attack. Jasprit Bumrah drew first blood, dismissing Shadman Islam with a searing delivery that left him bewildered.

Akash Deep strikes twice in two balls

But the real blow came just before lunch when Akash Deep was introduced into the attack. The young pacer made an instant impact, striking twice in two balls to leave Bangladesh in disarray.

Akash Deep's first wicket was a beauty, with the ball swinging in to break Zakir Hasan's middle stump into two pieces. And if that wasn't enough, he followed it up with another wicket on the very next ball, leaving the Bangladeshis stunned. Akash Deep dismissed Mominul Haque for a golden duck by uprooting his off stump. 

The double strike from Akash Deep has put Bangladesh on the backfoot, and they'll need a remarkable recovery to get back into the game. The Indian pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah , Mohammed Siraj, and Akash Deep has shown its prowess, and it'll be interesting to see how Bangladesh responds to this early onslaught.
