Rinku Singh Added to India B Squad in Duleep Trophy - REPORT

Duleep Trophy 2024: Swashbuckling left-hander Rinku Singh has received a Duleep Trophy call-up and he would be playing for India B. Rinku missed out on the first set of Duleep Trophy matches because he was featuring in the UP T20. And thanks to some good knocks in the competition, Rinku has got a call-up. In the UP T20, Rinku is leading the Meerut Mavericks. As per a report in a English publication, Rinku and Aaqib Khan has also received the call-up to play Duleep Trophy. Rinku would feature for India B in their match against India C on September 12.

The BCCI recently announced India's squad for the first IND vs BAN Test and Rinku Singh was not added in it.

Rinku's Reaction

The white-ball specialist said that he was unhappy on not being selected for the Duleep Trophy initially. He later admitted that he was now happy on being picked. With spotlight on Rinku, he would look to come up with his best and make a case for himself in the red-ball format.

Rinku has featured in 23 T20I and two ODI matches for India. He has scored 418 runs in 23 T20 matches at an average of 59.71. He has also built a reputation for him as a finisher and is often compared to the legendary MS Dhoni as well.
