The Men in Blue had difficulty batting first against the Kiwis in Bengaluru during the opening Test match between India and New Zealand. While play is still going on in Bengaluru, the hosts collapsed to a historic new low against New Zealand. During the match, India did pick up some breakthroughs as they managed to dismiss two batters in the final innings before the play was called off early. Team India missed out on several chances to pick up an advantage over the Kiwis but often dropped it, giving NZ the edge. But when the team did get the breakthrough, skipper Rohit Sharma looked particularly relieved after the moment happened.

Rohit Sharma Has A Surreal Reaction After Kuldeep Yadav Makes The Catch To Dismiss Young

During the 3rd session of Day 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Team India all rounder Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Will Young and broke the Kiwi's crucial partnership. The batter edged the ball, and wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav made the catch with no mistakes. He managed to successfully make the catch despite being in an awkward position.

After Kuldeep made the catch, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was particularly relieved after that. He had a priceless reaction which was mixed with relief and excitement as the team celebrated together. Young had to depart after he scored 33 runs but it broke a crucial partnership.

Speaking of the match, the Indian Cricket Team crashed to their lowest-ever total in a Test at home, folding in just 31.2 overs. Surprisingly, five of the home batters not even managing to open their accounts. New Zealand were 180 for three in their first innings in reply to India's 46 all out on the second day of the rain-hit opening Test on Thursday.

Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant scored 20 while opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made 13. None of the other Indian batters got a double-digit score. New Zealand, in complete contrast, batted solidly to gain a lead of 134 runs by the end of the day's play.
