WTC Points Table: Will Rohit Sharma-Led India Lose Top Spot in Rankings if They Lose to Bangladesh?
Bangladesh would be a confident unit when they take on India in a Test series scheduled in September.
WTC Points Table: Bangladesh created history as they beat Pakistan by 10 wickets in Rawalpindi on Sunday. It was a comprehensive win for the Tigers, who were unstoppable. With Bangladesh high-on-confidence, can they stage an upset in India? It looks bizarre as of now, but who would have believed they can beat Pakistan as well. Bangladesh play two Tests against India which will be part of the current World Test Championship cycle. Bangladesh, who are currently sixth in the WTC points table, would hope to put up a good show against India. The Indian cricket team, who are on top of the points table, play against Bangladesh and then New Zealand before they travel to Australia. In the current points table, Australia follows India at No. 2 and they are followed by New Zealand and England who occupy the third and the fourth spot.

What Happens if India Lose vs Bangladesh?
If India lose one and draw one, they get dethroned by Australia, who move to the top. And in case India lose both their games, Australia move to the numero uno spot, while Bangladesh zoom to the second spot with India in the third position. In fact, even if India draw both the Tests - they get dethroned by Australia. And if India lose one and draw the other, they still get dethroned by Australia. So, it is a little tricky for the two-time WTC finalists.
