Aryna Sabalenka continues to dominate her opponents and the WTA Rankings as she has dethroned Iga Swiatek to become the new world number one in tennis. The 26-year-old is at the top of her game, as she has amassed a lot of success throughout the year. But the ending to the year 2024 could be a sweet one, as she has amassed the top WTA rank before the year's conclusion.

Sabalenka, the Belarusian Tennis star, won multiple titles this year to keep her in a formidable position in the rankings. She successfully defended her Australian Open title and also won the U.S. Open title, something she has been seeking for a long time. It is the second time that Sabalenka has reached the No. 1 spot. The last time she clinched it lasted for eight weeks before Iga Swiatek took over. With the WTA Finals approaching, crucial points will be on the line as Sabalenka has 9,706 points, while Iga has 9,665 points. The competition is set to be an excited one between the no. 1 and no. 2, as both of them will aim to be on the top of the table.
