Vinesh attempts to leave Arjuna award outside PMO

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat left her Khel Ratna Awards on Kartavya Path's pavement. Vinesh Phogat attempted to leave her awards outside PM's office. But, she was stopped by police at the Kartavya Path in New Delhi. Earlier, Vinesh Phogat wrote an open letter to PM Narendra Modi. In the letter, she expressed disappointment over the election of new WFI president Sanjay Singh, a close aide of Brij Bhushan Singh who was accused of sexually harassing female wrestlers. While Wrestler Bajrang Punia had also returned his Padma Shri Award, Wrestler Sakshee Malikkh retired in protest against the newly-elected WFI panel.
