Can England still qualify for WC semifinals?

England's woes deepened as they fell to a fifth consecutive World Cup loss to Sri Lanka on Thursday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Eventually, England were wiped off for a score of 156 in 33.2 overs. os Buttler admitted he had reached “a huge low point” after England were left on the brink of elimination from the World Cup in the group stage following defeat to Sri Lanka by eight wickets in Bengaluru. This was their fourth dismal failure in five matches, with Buttler saying the team’s plans for the tournament had “just not worked at all”.
