Teams who have qualified for 2024 Champions Trophy

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 round-robin stage concluded on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, with hosts India defeating the Netherlands by 160 runs to finish their league phase unblemished. With the end of the league stage, the final picture of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 qualifiers has also been cleared. The ICC threw a curve ball earlier this month when it announced that the top eight nations at the end of the preliminary round of the World Cup event in India will qualify for the Champions Trophy, which will be hosted by Pakistan in 2025. India were among the first teams to earn their place in the Champions Trophy, which is slated to return after seven years. In the World Cup 2023, India are joined by South Africa in second place, Australia in third place, and New Zealand in the World Cup 2023 semifinals. The top 4 have flawlessly passed the Champions Trophy qualification test, but with Pakistan being the hosts and thus being guaranteed a spot in the tournament, there was a squabble for the three remaining places. Consequently after real struggle, England, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan have qualified for the competition.
