Moradabad couple celebrates India's victory

In Uttar Pradesh, a couple celebrated their wedding along with Team India’s victory over South Africa in the ICC World Cup 2023 on Sunday, when Virat Kohli smashed a record-equalling 49th ton, on his 35th birthday. Cricket is akin to a religion in India and the whole nation is gripped by the World Cup fever. A video shows the couple posing for photos with relatives on the stage. Many wedding guests are seen holding Kohli’s poster as the groom and the bride hold a tricolor in their hands. The wedding guests were seen lighting sparklers as well. India empathically beat South Africa by 243 runs in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens to continue their unbeaten streak at the World Cup with eight wins out of eight matches so far. And Kohli has now equalled the record for highest centuries in ODIs, with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. The groom, Shoaib Siddique, said it was a “double dhamaka” for him as it was his wedding and India also won. He said it was special that Kohli equalled Tendulkar’s record on his wedding day as well.
