Champions Trophy 2025: India and New Zealand have qualified for the semi-finals of CT 2025. India play against New Zealand on March 2, 2025
Rohit Sharma-led Team India have been extremely dominant in the ongoing Champions Trophy. The 'men in blue' registered two stellar victories against Bangladesh and Pakistan and have now qualified for the Champions Trophy semi-finals. As far as the One Day Internationals go, India are one of the most difficult sides to beat and their recent performances have been a testament to this fact. There were a lot of questions on India's Champions Trophy squad as stars like Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Shami were returning from injuries.
India have been absolutely pitch perfect in all the departments of the game. Be it batting, bowling or fielding, India have been at their A Game and they look like a tough side to beat as of now. The Indian cricket team will play their next Champions Trophy game against New Zealand and it will be a dress rehearsal for the semi-final game that will also be played in Dubai. But few injury issues are likely to surface and that might disrupt the Rohit Sharma-led side's campaign.

Darren Gough Warns Rohit Sharma And Gautam Gambhir
Indian captain Rohit Sharma and star pacer Mohammed Shami faced a few injury concerns during the India vs Pakistan game. Rohit Sharma had an issue with his hamstring and Shami too had walked away after his first spell as he faced an issue with his ankle. Thankfully for India, both of them returned to the field within a short span of time.
Former England pacer Darren Gough has warned Gautam Gambhir and has said that India shouldn't risk any kind of injuries to their star players. Gough also went on to say that India should consider resting Shami for the New Zealand clash. 'They probably should rest him. They've got the confidence against Pakistan. When you've got a batting lineup like that, you can afford to bring someone else in; bring another spinner in Dubai', said Gough as quoted by Hindustan Times.
