3-member Chinese crew leaves for space

China launched the Shenzhou-17 manned spaceship on Thursday. A three-astronaut crew is sent into space which is the youngest Chinese crew. About 10 minutes after the launch, the Shenzhou-17 manned spacecraft separated from the carrier rocket and entered the predetermined orbit, sending the three astronauts. After entering orbit, the Shenzhou-17 spaceship will perform a fast automated rendezvous and dock with the front port of the space station core module Tianhe, forming a combination of three modules and three spacecraft. The Shenzhou-17 crew will perform various in-orbit space science and application payload tests and experiments, and also carry out extravehicular activities, install extravehicular payloads, and conduct space station maintenance and other tasks.  The Shenzhou-17 crew boasts the youngest lineup since the construction of China's Tiangong space station started.
