Red alert in Delhi: Trains, flights delayed

Several trains and flights were delayed and cancelled in New Delhi due to dense fog on December 29. Commuters faced difficulties and were seen waiting at the Anand Vihar Railway Station and New Delhi Railway Station as visibility was badly affected. Visuals from the Indira Gandhi International Airport showed passengers queuing up at the gates of the airport amid intense fog. Earlier on December 28 134 flights were delayed, and 22 trains running late due to low visibility. Visuals from several areas of Delhi showed thick fog hovering over the region with visibility almost zero. IMD had also predicted that dense fog will continue to disturb locals in Delhi till the end of the year.
On delayed trains, a passenger Prashant Kumar said, "The trains are later than usual this time... Nandankanan Express coming to Delhi from Bhubaneswar was supposed to reach at 3.30 pm but it reached Delhi at 12.30 am..."
