Pro Palestine Protest At Delhi's Jantar Mantar

Huge protest breaks out at Jantar Mantar. Nearly 200 Jamia Milia University students joined the protests with posters and banners supporting Palestine. Left organisations and women in Hijab were also seen as a part of the protest. All were detained in 4 buses forcefully and now taken to Parliament Street police station. Earlier at least, 60 people, including students, were detained for organising a pro-Palestinian demonstration in New Delhi. The protesters were demanding diplomatic support for Palestine and denouncing Israel’s actions in Gaza. This comes after Israel declared war against Hamas after the Palestinian militant group launched a surprise against southern Israel on October 7th. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown solidarity with Israel against its fight with Hamas.
