Pro-Palestine protestor invades pitch

The ICC Cricket World Cup final match being played between India and Australia at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad witnessed a major security breach after a man entered the field during the Indian team's batting. Wearing a face mask with Palestine flag colours, the man also grabbed former Skipper Virat Kohli after invading the field. He also had an LGBTQ flag in his hand and was wearing a T-shirt with the message ‘Free Palestine’ at the back and ‘Stop Bombing Palestine’ at the front. During the high-octane final match, the man ran straight to Kohli and put his arm around the former's shoulder before the security officials escorted him out. Several officials pulled him out of the ground and the match resumed again. The match between India and Australia is underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat's Ahmedabad and the state government has ensured tight security for the final. Ahmedabad Police have detained the invader after he was dragged out of the stadium and is being questioned by officials, sources said.
