Rohit Sharma fined for overspeeding on Mumbai-Pune Expressway As per highway police, Rohit’s Lamborghini Urus crossed the permitted speed limit of 105 kmph on Mumbai-Pune Expressway twice. He was imposed with a fine of Rs 4000 -Rs 2000 for each violation by the highway police. “The challans were generated by the automated system on Wednesday and the fine amount has been paid.” said Lata Phad, superintendent of highway police. Police said there are automatch cameras installed on both lanes of the Pune-Mumbai expressway to check the speed of vehicles. If a speed limit violation by any vehicle is recorded by the camera, traffic challans with the amount of fine imposed are issued against its owner by the system. Police said that as per recorded footage, Sharma’s car first crossed the speed limit near Kamshet tunnel at 2.54 pm. Here the speed limit is 105 kilometers per hour (kmph), but the speed of Sharm’s vehicle reached 117 kmph here. After a while, the vehicle was again caught exceeding the speed limit near Somatane Phata with a speed of 111 kmph
