India have sealed a place in the Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal with a four-wicket win over Australia in Dubai.
India are into the Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal having defeated Australia by four wickets in Dubai on Sunday. The Men In Blue will now face the winner of the match between New Zealand and South Africa on March 9.
India Defeat Australia To Secure Place In Champions Trophy 2025 Final
Riding on Steve Smith and Alex Carey's valiant contribution, Australia set a target of 264 in this crucial game. It was not an ideal start for the Men In Blue as both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill went back to the pavilion very quickly. But Virat Kohli set up the bedrock with an excellent 84 and both KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya ensured India didn't stutter in the end.
Social media has been full of reactions as several Indian ministers and politicians have congratulated the Indian team for their heroics in the Champions Trophy semifinal.
Rohit Sharma has now become the first captain in cricket history to lead the team into all four major ICC finals, the ODI World Cup , the T20 World Cup , the Champions Trophy and the World Test Championship.
