The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has prompted worldwide international cricketing activities to be postponed until further notice. Even the highly-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) got delayed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from its initial launch date of March 29. As citizens continue to remain indoors amidst the coronavirus-induced India lockdown, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag recently took to social media and urged his followers to stay at home in a comical manner.
In the video, Virender Sehwag can be seen lipsyncing a dialogue from Bollywood film actor Sunny Deol’s 1996 starrer Jeet. However, the dialogue chosen to be mimicked by Virender Sehwag does not seem to be random as he is indirectly comparing the analogy of the Sunny Deol dialogue with that to the ongoing coronavirus crisis in India. In the caption, the 2011 World Cup-winning cricketer also urged his followers to stay at home at the time of India lockdown.
According to caknowledge.com, Virender Sehwag net worth is estimated to be approximately $40 million (i.e. ₹286 crore). His net worth comprises of his earnings from BCCI as a former Indian cricket player. It also includes salary through his endorsement deals with various brands like Adidas, Reebok, Hero Honda and Boost.
