This is how the hostages were released

The military wing of the Hamas group on Friday released a video of the release of some of the 24 hostages it freed in the Gaza Strip. The footage showed the men and women arriving in unmarked cars, and being handed over to the Red Cross by masked militants. Most were in their 70s or 80s, and the youngest was a 2-year-old. Also released were 10 people from Thailand and one from the Philippines. In return for their release, Israel freed 39 Palestinians from prison later in the day. The exchange was the first stage of a swap agreed as part of a four-day cease-fire in the war ignited by Hamas' October 7 attack into southern Israel when the hostages were taken
