Female Wrestling For The 1st Time In Rajouri

Girls participated in a wrestling competition for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri on October 25. The competition was held in Deeing village near the Line of Control in Nowshera sub-division. It has been organised by Panchayat members of Deeing village with the help of PRI members and the administration. Various people gathered at the wrestling competition and enjoyed it. A female wrestler named Sanjana Sharma participating in the event said, ‘There is a great scope in sports. It even helps people get a job. I urge people to take up sports and stay away from drugs’. BDC Member Neena Sharma said, ‘I want such programs to take place in various areas. Children should stay away from drugs and engage in productive activities. This is a one of a kind program where female wrestlers are participating.’
