The second edition of the Behtar India campaign, which has been conceptualised by DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Company and is being jointly implemented by DHFL Pramerica team, Republic TV and Charities Aid Foundation, India, was launched in Mumbai on Tuesday. The event was graced by the campaign’s brand ambassador Parineeti Chopra’s presence. The main objective of this year’s campaign comes with an important message for recycling.

At the event, Parineeti Chopra spoke about her love for scuba diving.

While saying that she scuba-dives every three months or so, the actor highlighted the terrible condition in which underwater is being retained to this day. She spoke about how the underwater creatures end up choking on plastic and have troubles surviving in their natural habitat.

At the event, she further spoke about what led her to be a part of such an initiative. The celebrity said that she has been brought in an extremely nature-friendly environment and thus, she understands its value.

In an effort to culminate the same kind of values in the present generation, the ‘Ishaqzaade’ actress attempts to be a part of similar campaigns that involve the fight for women’s equality and preservation of environment to name a few.

At the event, Parineeti was asked whether she focuses on recycling waste in her personal life as well. To which, she responded by saying that she contributes towards safeguarding the environment by maintaining two waste paper baskets at home, making use of no plastic at all and by recycling almost all the items.

“You will see there is an organic or recyclable alternative to everything,” she says.
